Holocaust Memorial Day 2010
This year marks the 65th anniversary of Holocaust Memorial Day, which is the international day of remembrance for those who died in the Holocaust and other genocides.
Holocaust Memorial Day is marked each year on 27 January, which is the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp, the largest Nazi concentration camp.
This internationally recognised day commemorates the tragic loss of life in the genocides of World War II and more recently in Cambodia, Bosnia, Rwanda and Darfur.
