Local Memories - Balsall Common

Are you curious about what life was like in this area in the past? Are you interested in looking at the history of a house or building, what was there before and who has previously lived there?

Balsall Common

Most of the houses and shops were built in the 20th century. Prior to this, the village consisted of a couple of hamlets of about 6 to 12 houses each and a few scattered cottages. The 1930's saw the beginning of development but it was not until after World War II that the village really began to grow.

We're actively collecting your memories of Balsall Common. Did you go to school here or work in the local area? Have you moved here more recently? Download our memory sheets and let us know what you think. We hope to feature your memories here.
