Local Memories - Olton

Are you curious about what life was like in this area in the past? Are you interested in looking at the history of a house or building, what was there before and who has previously lived there?

Olton

'Old town' and reputedly site of Ulverley from where Solihull was founded. It expanded apace after the arrival of the Great Western Railway in 1852. Many of the large houses built in Victorian and Edwardian years form part of Solihull's largest conservation area.

We're actively collecting your memories of Olton. Did you go to school here or work in the local area? Have you moved here more recently? Download our memory sheets and let us know what you think. We hope to feature your memories here.
