Affordable Housing

Solihull Council is committed to working with Housing Associations and other developers to provide more affordable housing in the borough.

Housing Associations are organisations that have been set up for the purpose of providing affordable housing to people who cannot afford to buy a home of their own.

Housing Associations not only offer affordable rented homes, but also affordable home ownership, through New Build HomeBuy, Shared Ownership .  The Homebuy Direct scheme helps people buy their own home by offering equity loans towards the purchase of a new build home on selected developments.
