Property - searches

When buying a property it is important to carry out a search to find out any information that may affect the property.

The search will provide details of:

• Any plans to build new roads nearby
• Highway ownership at the front of the property (public or privately maintained)
• Any planning permissions/conditions
• Any tree preservation orders
• Any enforcement notices
• Any housing grants.

The information comes from various Council services. Once received, we will collate it and send it to you normally within 5 working days.

Drainage enquiries

We do not deal with drainage enquiries. You need to request a separate search to Severn Trent Water, Tel: 0115 962 7269. Your solicitor will be aware of this service.
