Council Housing - Rent Arrears
When a person leaves a Council tenancy they become known as a 'former or late tenant'. If there are arrears at the end of the tenancy the debt is passed to a Debt Collecting agency to collect on our behalf. This can include them taking action through the courts to sue for the debt or enforcing money judgement orders.
