Planning Policy Documents (DPDs & SPDs)

This page gives information on all the documents we have produced, or are currently producing, as part of the Local Development Framework.

To date, alongside the Local Development Scheme(LDS), Annual Monitoring Reports(AMR), and Statement of Community Involvement(SCI), we have published a Vehicle Parking and Green Travel Plans Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).

We are now starting work on our Core Strategy. The Core Strategy will set our vision for the future development of the Borough and the strategy for delivering development to 2026. Documents relating to the Core Strategy will appear on this page as and when they are produced. This will include documents for consultation and the accompanying Sustainability Appraisals.

A Sustainability Appraisal (SA) is a means of ensuring that social, economic and environmental considerations are included in the development of Local Development Framework (LDF) policies. A Sustainability Appraisal is produced alongside each policy document to ensure that the impacts of the policy can be measured and adverse effects addressed, where necessary.
