Vehicle Parking Standards and Green Travel Plans Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)

The Vehicle Parking Standards and Green Travel Plans Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) sets out the amount of parking provision we expect to be provided as part of any new development within the Borough.

A Consultation Draft version of the draft SPD and accompanying Sustainability Appraisal (SA) report was subject to a period of public consultation between 15^th February 2006-24^th March 2006. 19 responses were received and these were considered by the Cabinet Member for Regeneration at his decision session in May. A Copy of the Vehicle Parking Standards and Green Travel Plans SPD, as modified, is attached below.

A Consultation Statement, setting out who was consulted on the draft SPD and how responses were considered is attached below, together with an Adoption Statement that sets out when we adopted the SDP; right of legal challenge; and where the SPD is available.

Also attached is a Sustainability Appraisal report that measures how the SPD performs against sustainable development principles.
