Solihull Learning Shop is on the First Floor of Solihull Central Library. It provides a comprehensive service for free, impartial information, advice and guidance - all in one place:

Whatever stage in your work life, we can help:
- Full Nextstep IAG service - free information and advice for adults aged 20 and over on careers, learning and work.
- PCs to help you write your CV or access resources or job adverts online
- Practical help with job search, and to identify learning and training possibilities
- Connexions - information and advice for young people aged 13-19 on careers and other issues
- Careers guidance - an intensive, booked, one-hour appointment (if you're over 19 and in work, there may be a charge for this)

Solihull Learning Shop holds the Matrix Quality Standard- the national standard of excellence for information, advice and guidance services.
Solihull Learning Shop is the Borough's principal Nextstep service. Nextstep is the national branding for IAG services. The Nextstep branding means that the service holds the Matrix Standard, and that its advisers are all qualified specifically in delivering Advice and Guidance to a minimum of Level 3.
Connexions
Based in the Learning Shop at Solihull Central Library, Connexions provides information, advice, guidance, support and personal development services for all 13-19 year olds:
- Information and advice about jobs, training opportunities, college courses and careers
- Advice on job hunting and preparing your CV
- Information about housing, benefits, leisure, health etc.
- Free access to PC and online resources
We also provide access to your own Personal Adviser - someone you can trust.
