Chelmsley Wood library staff aim to provide a friendly, helpful and relaxed environment for customers. We offer a wide range of books and information for everyone. The library has wheelchair access into the building with automatic doors. There is free parking at the nearby Multi-storey car park. Visit our Theatre to see a range of professional children's shows, fun for all the family.

Travelling to Chelmsley Wood Library

The library is situated on Stephenson Drive opposite Chelmsley wood Police station and only a short walk from the main Shopping Centre. Local train station is Marston Green .

  • Books prescription. Your Doctor can now prescribe a range of books specially for you. Exchange your Prescription at any participating Library in Solihull.

  • Ready, Steady, Read - New collection now available within the children's library. A collection of fun books to help your child develop early reading skills, improve their reading skills and enjoy reading.

  • Room Hire for community and commercial use Tea and coffee now available for room bookings

Regular Meetings and Events

  • Storytimes - Themed story and craft sessions Fridays 10.30 - 11.30am, Age 2-4 years
    Sight loss and Deafness Resource Centre -Assessments held last Friday of the month by BID.
  • Local MP -Caroline Spelman meets here by appointment every month.
  • Homework Club - aimed at Children aged 8- 12. Here every Thursday 4.00-6.00 pm term time only
  • Theatre shows - range of shows throughout the year in our theatre ask staff for details
  • Book Crawl - to encourage Parents and carers to visit the library on a regular basis with their young children.
