Dickens Heath Library

Library details

Dickens Heath is a newly opened library with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We provide a wide range of adult and children's books and DVDs. There are fourteen computers with free internet access and email. Photocopying and fax facilities are also available. We have a meeting room for hire. Regular storytime and Rhymetime sessions for the under fives are provided.

Travelling to Dickens Heath Library

Follow the signs to Dickens Heath, then to Village Centre. The library is at the junction of Hensborough and Old Dickens Heath Road opposite Mortons Bar and Main Street.

Car Parking is sign posted at this junction.
Bus Routes: 173 - Illshaw to Solihull and 624 - Shirley to Solihull Parking: near to library, signposted.
Nearest train station: Whitlock's End

• Ready, Steady, Read - New collection now available within the children's library. A collection of fun books to help your child develop early reading skills, improve their reading skills and enjoy reading.

Regular Meetings and Events

• Storytimes for under 5's - Tuesdays 2pm - 2.30pm and every Saturday 11am - 11.30am.
• Rhymetimes - Mondays 10.30am.
• MP Surgeries with Caroline Spellman MP - call library for next date.

Children's Activities

• Sally Tonge - Storyteller - Thursday Feb 4th 10.00 – 11.00 - for ages under 5
  10 places available
• Craft session for Under 5’s  Thursdays monthly 1.30 - 2.30 - ring library for next date

Please note: Admission to all activities is strictly by ticket only. Tickets for each activity are only available TWO weeks prior to each event.
