Hobs Moat Library

Library details


A warm and welcoming community library offering a bright and attractive environment.  We have a lovely children’s library with five  computers for children to use.  We also have a well-stocked adult library with a further nine computers.  These include a scanner and colour and mono printers, which have a nominal charge.

We provide many activities for adults and children from literacy and numeracy classes run by Solihull College to ICT support.  We also run regular story times for under fives and homework club for school children who need support with their schoolwork.

The staff are here to help with any queries so please come and see what Hobs Moat Library can offer you!

Travelling to Hobs Moat Library

From Solihull Town Centre, follow Lode Lane down to Hobs Moat road and turn left into Ulleries Road. The library is on the left hand side of the road opposite Fitness First Gym.

Accessibility

Access for wheelchairs users, a public toilet with disabled access. The library has a lift for wheelchair users and pushchairs, also a hearing loop and baby changing facilities.

  • Computer facilities (Internet, email and word processing) Free to library members for the first hour, bookable by the hour.

  • Loan collections of spoken word cassettes

  • Newspapers and Periodicals

  • Photocopying and Fax facility

  • Black and White and Colour printing available

  • Refreshment machine with hot and drinks

  • Toy Library on Tuesdays fortnightly 10-12 – come and borrow lovely new toys for your pre school child, contact library staff for dates and details on 743 4592

  • New Teenage group – ‘The Goonies’ meet once a month to chat about books, DVD’s and teenage issues – contact Ellie on 743 4592 for more information
