Home Library
The Home Library Service provides a home visit from a member of the Mobile library team for people who are confined to their homes and who don't have anyone to visit the library for them.
The service is also available to carers of people who are housebound.
It provides books and spoken word cassettes for users to borrow.

What happens next?
One of the Home Library Service staff will contact you and make an appointment to come and see you at home about the service. They will carry proof of identity which should be checked before letting them in.
What will they want to know?
They will talk to you generally about the service and they will be able to answer any questions you might have. They will ask you about what sorts of books you like, to help when staff are choosing items for you.
How much will it cost?
It is absolutely free.
What can I borrow?
You can borrow a wide range of books, many in large print. There are also books on cassette, CD and mp3 CD.. You can borrow as many items as you feel you can read between visits.
Can CDs and DVDs and Videos be borrowed?
Unfortunately we do not provide this service.
How often will I be visited?
Normally the visits will be every four weeks on the same day. This does vary a little with Bank Holidays but we will always tell you about any changes.
What happens if I want a particular book?
If you would like a particular book or books on a subject you are interested in, please ask the library staff. We do have waiting lists for some of the most popular items and if we have to get the item from another library it may be some time before you receive it.
What happens if I want some information?
The library staff have access to all types of information on a wide range of subjects. If you need any information, please ask the staff.
