Libraries welcome new young members during the National 'Join a Library Day'
Solihull Libraries are proud to be part of the first ever national library membership campaign, Join a library day, which happened on Saturday 26th April designated as the national.
One of the youngest people to join Solihull Libraries during the national Join a library day' on Saturday 26th April was 2 month old Samuel-Peter.
Samuel-Peter and his mother Sijabuilile from Solihull, visited Hobs Moat Library during the national Join a library day and took advantage of the children's corner with its colourful décor, comfy chairs and child height book shelves. At Knowle library, Jenny Noonan - library assistant was on hand to welcome Emma, and 9 months old Bethan to the newly refurbished library.
Across the borough over 40 people joined Solihull libraries on Saturday 26th with another young library visitor being Daniel, aged 11 from Olton who picked up one of the National Year of Reading's 'The Ultimate Book Guide' and library welcome pack.
Although the National Join a Library Day has past, Solihull libraries is always keen to welcome new members so why not pop in to your local branch and take advantage of the fee computers and other resources on offer. Membership is free and all you need is one form of ID with your name and address to join.
