Information on the mobile library service
Solihull Mobile Library Service - Delivering books to you!
How we can help you
It's not always possible for people to get to their local library, so we bring the library to you! You can be assured of a friendly and personal service, where staff are always on hand to help you and give advice.
You can view the timetables of where and when the mobile library stops, or leaflets are available from branch libraries, central library or by phoning 0121 704 6947.
What's available
We stock a range of fiction and non-fiction books, as well as reference information and details of local services available. If we don't have the book you are looking for, you can request it for a small fee.
Green garden sacks for sale on the mobile library.
How do you join
Joining is easy and its free! Simply complete an application form and bring along proof of your name and address and you will be given a membership card, which you can use at any of our stops or at any Solihull library.
What can you borrow
Each adult is allowed up to 12 books and each child up to 8 books. You can keep the books for 4 weeks (unless there is a long waiting list when we ask you to return them after 2 weeks).
What do we charge for
Although there is no charge for joining or borrowing books, there is however a small charge for reserving books or for overdue books. Overdue fines are charged at a flat rate of 15p per book, per missed visit (no concessions).
