The mobile library service brings books, audio books and other library services direct to people who cannot access our community libraries.

View the Mobile Library Timetable page, search for a stop near you on the Warwickshire Direct website or call Warwickshire County Council on: 01926 851 031 as they provide this service.

The service is free of charge and there are no charges for fines or reservations.

Your questions answered

Why has Solihull Council stopped providing the mobile library service?

The change to the service has been prompted by the lease on the current Solihull mobile library vehicle coming to an end on 31March. Instead, Warwickshire County Council will be providing a more modern and accessible vehicle with the added benefit of internet access where available.

The new joint service will save Solihull Council around £50k. No jobs will be lost as part of the change, with current Solihull mobile library and home library service staff to be re-deployed into other Solihull library services.

Where is my nearest stop and what time and date will the mobile library be there?

The revised schedule of stops and routes is available by clicking on the attachment in the blue box in the right hand corner of this page or by calling Warwickshire County Council on: 01926 851 031.

Current customers have been given a letter about the changes and how to access the new service.

My stop has been withdrawn. How can I access library services?

You may find that your local library is now closer for you than an alternative mobile library stop.

If you are housebound, you may be eligible for our Home Library service which involves a collection of books being delivered to you at home.

I have a current Solihull library card. Will I need a new one and will I still be able to use Solihull libraries?
