Orange Prize for Fiction.

The Orange Prize for Fiction is the UK's largest annual literary award for a single novel. The aim of the Prize is not only to celebrate novels of excellence, originality and accessibility but also to promote women writers to as wide a range of male and female readers as possible.

The Prize is run by a Management Committee, administered by BookTrust and sponsored by Orange.

Solihull Libraries are supporting the prize at Central, Knowle and Shirley libraries, with books, discussion evenings and reviews.

Also run is the Orange Award for New Writers.

Man Booker Prize

The Man Booker Prize for Fiction represents the very best in contemporary fiction. One of the world's most prestigious awards, and one of incomparable influence, it continues to be the pinnacle of ambition for every fiction writer.
