Improve your health and wellbeing by attending and taking part in a number of free library events taking place across the borough.

Balsall Common Library

Craft and Memory Sharing Club

Pop Up Communities CIC host Craft and Memory Sharing Club, which will be taking place every Friday afternoon at Balsall Common Library between 2.00pm - 4.00pm. Costs: £4

Come and relax, share memories to add to the memory tree, learn new craft and knitting skills and meet new friends.

Sessions will be taking place every Friday.

Striders & Strollers

All walkers meet at the library before heading out for a brisk, scenic walk around Balsall Common between 10.30am - 11.30am. Refreshments are served in the library on return.

Striders and Strollers meet fortnightly.

Coffee Morning

Get to know your community by meeting individuals and organisations from around your area over an informal coffee morning.

Day: Thursday (1st Thursday of each month)

The NHS Health Check is your chance to get your free midlife MOT. For adults in England aged 40-74 without a pre-existing condition, it checks your circulatory and vascular health and what your risk of getting a disabling vascular disease is.

Hampton in Arden Library

Readers Cafe

Stop Smoking Clinic

This drop in session is available to anyone who would like to give up smoking and requires support. Sessions take place every Saturday between 10.00am - 12.30pm (no appointment necessary).

Health Trainers

A Health Trainer is available to discuss your health concerns and conduct health checks on the first Tuesday of every month between 2.00pm - 4.00pm (no appointment necessary).

Knit, Stitch & Natter

This session is available to individuals who would like to meet and talk with crafters and knitters whilst learning or improving their craft and knitting skills. Sessions take place on the last Tuesday of the month between 10.30am - 12.00pm.
