Benefits awarded by the Council
If you are on a low income, you may be entitled to help from the Council in the form of Housing or Council Tax Benefit

- Housing Benefit may be awarded to help reduce the amount of rent you pay
- Council Tax Benefit may be awarded to help reduce your Council Tax bill
- Second Adult Rebate may be awarded if there is a second adult in your property who is on a low income or specified benefit. Second Adult Rebate may enable up to a 25% reduction on your Council Tax bill. To qualify, the second adult cannot be your partner or pay you rent.
