The full charge for Council Tax may be reduced by up to 100% due to the state of a property, household circumstances or the amount of income a household receives.
Granting reductions to those eligible helps to maximise households income, assists in the reduction of poverty or debt and aims to improve an individuals or family’s quality of life. We don’t want you to pay more than you have to!

Council Tax is a government set tax and we as a billing authority have a duty to collect these taxes, we wish to do this fairly to all residents and as such checks will be made to help ensure reductions are not fraudulently claimed.
