Instrumental / vocal tuition in schools

Tuition is offered on an individual, pair or group basis in your school. Tuition normally takes place during the school day. Although every effort is made to meet individual school needs, any request must take account of the travel time of staff between schools.

The teaching programme will be based on 33 contact weeks in a year.

Tuition is available on:-

Brass instruments:

Cornet, trumpet, french horn, tenor horn, baritone horn, euphonium, trombone, tuba.

Guitar:

Acoustic and electric, including bass guitar.
A full range of styles is offered.

Percussion Instruments:

Tuned, untuned, drum kit, (jazz, rock, orchestral).

Piano and Electronic Keyboard

String Instruments:

Violin, viola, cello, double bass.

Voice

Woodwind Instruments:

Flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophones, recorders.

Tuition is also available on the use of computers and IT for music.

Choice of instruments may depend on physical suitability. The Service is happy to provide advice and help with the selection of pupils and models of organisation.

With group tuition, group size may vary according to the type of instrument, abilities of pupils and available accommodation.
