Fostering Fortnight in Solihull
From nscott on 06 May 2008
Solihull is gearing up for Foster Care Fortnight - a national campaign to encourage more people to get involved in fostering - which starts on 12th May.
There are currently 117 foster families looking after 136 foster children in Solihull. But more Foster carers are needed and the Council's Fostering team will be in around the borough between 12th and 25th May to give people information and talk to them about the challenges and rewards of fostering.
Residents are encouraged to visit the team's information stand at one of the following road-show locations over the fortnight:
14th May: One Stop Shopping Centre, Perry Barr (11.00am - 4.00pm)
15th May: Fort Shopping Park, Birmingham (11.00am - 4.00pm)
16th May: Morrisons, George Road Solihull (11.00am - 3.00pm)
