New guide to help residents get Employed for Success
From nscott on 07 May 2008
Residents looking for a job or wanting to gain new skills can benefit from a new information pack which gives an A-Z guide on services available to help.
The new pack, which has been produced by Solihull Council and Solihull Access to Employment Group, has been created to take away some of the barriers that can get in the way of looking for work.
It lists local employment and training providers throughout the Borough making it easier to access job opportunities. It’s set to help those who are unemployed or seeking training including young people, people with health or incapacity issues, parents and lone parents, those with a criminal record and the long term unemployed.
The pack gives information on a range of service provision available in Solihull being delivered by organisations from the public, private and voluntary sectors.
If you would like a copy, contact the Employment Team on 0121 704 8582 or e-mail at employmentteam@solihull.gov.uk.
A PDF version of the pack is also available on the Access to Employment Group (AEG) web-site in
its library section at www.solihullaeg.org.uk
