Trees for beginners

From Press Office on Thursday, July 24, 2008

There’s a lot to do and see in Solihull parks this summer. On Monday 28th July, people are invited to Trees for Beginners at Dorridge Park and Local Nature Reserve where they can take an in-depth look at trees growing in the local environment.

Between 2pm-3.30pm, Solihull Council’s Park Rangers will be helping people discover the names of different species growing in the local area and ways to identify them.

They’ll also be giving guided woodland walks so comfortable shoes are advised.

The discovery walk begins at the car park off Grange Road, the Rangers will be there to meet those who want to take part.

This free event is suitable for all ages.
