Library events coming soon in September

Coffee mornings
Two local libraries will be holding coffee mornings for borough residents next month and are inviting new visitors to come along.

Balsall Common library will be holding a coffee morning on Thursday 4 September between 10.30am and 12pm and Meriden library will be holding its coffee morning later in the month on Thursday September 25 between 10am and 12pm.

Staff at both events will be on hand to give visitors ideas for reading and information on courses and events at local libraries.

Advice surgery

Meriden library will also be holding a surgery for local residents to discuss any problems or queries about the area with local neighbourhood co-ordinator, Susan East and West Midlands police representatives.

The surgery will take place on Monday 15th September between 10am -12pm.

Rotters and scandal at the library

Join the Readers' Circle at Balsall Common library on Friday 5th September 9.45 am – 11.15 am to discuss The Rotters Club by Johnathan Coe

The Readers' Circle is a friendly group which meets in the library once a month and is always on the look out for new members.

If visitors can't make it this month they can join the group in October when the book being discussed will be Notes on a Scandal by Zoe Heller - a story about moral panics and the people who get caught up in them.
