Free family history course taster session

From Press Office on 05 September 2008

Solihull residents thinking of starting to research their family history but don’t know where to begin can get help through courses being run by Solihull Libraries in partnership with Solihull College.

A tutor from the beginners’ course will deliver a free taster session at Solihull Central Library on Saturday 13 September to show how embarking on a family history course can speed up researching your family tree.

The hour-long session starts at 11am. Places are limited so advance booking is essential. To reserve a place call 0121 704 6934 or e-mail heritage@solihull.gov.uk.

Note to editors:

Solihull Heritage & Local Studies Service is based at Solihull Central Library and is the first port of call for anyone researching family history or local history in the Solihull borough.  For further details of the service, visit www.solihull.gov.uk/heritage
