Pirates invade Solihull libraries

It’s Pirates Ahoy! on Friday 10th October as National Bookstart Day sails into the borough.
Solihull Libraries will be hosting a range of activities to celebrate the pirate themed day.
There will be a special Storytime session with craft activities at Solihull Central Library from 10.00am-10.30am where under 5s can join in with pirate rhymes and make their very own pirate hat.
Other activities running across the borough on National Bookstart Day include:
0 Pirates in the House- 10.30am-11.30am at Chelmsley Wood Library
0 Shiver Me Timbers- 2.15pm-3pm at Castle Bromwich Library
0 Pirates Ahoy- 2.30pm-3.15pm at Shirley Central Library
Dickens Heath Library will be holding a pirate inspired session of Swashbuckling Rhymes between 10.30am-11am on Monday 13th October.

0 Bookstart is a national programme that aims to give every child the opportunity to enjoy sharing a book from as early an age as possible- it gives free gifts of books to children under four.
0 Bookstart packs are available for children at 9 months (Baby Bag), 2 years (Bookstart Plus), 3-4 years (My Treasure Chest). There are additional packs for those with a visual impairment (Book Touch), or a hearing impairment (Book Shine). There are additional books in dual languages for families where English is an additional language.
