Solihull hosts comedy festival event
From Press Office on 23 September 2008
‘Patrick and Bernadine’, a play about friendship, family and show business, should be a laugh a minute when it comes to Solihull.
Solihull Arts Complex is hosting the show, which is part of Birmingham Comedy Festival 2008.
‘Patrick and Bernadine’ is a kitsch yet down-to-earth character play about a Brummie duo who drag their tired old cabaret act around holiday camps and resorts until Bernadine decides to leave Patrick and chase her own TV showbiz dreams. Enter her mother, the rude, crude Reen, who tries to help pick up the pieces.
This fast-moving, quirky play is suitable for people aged 14 or over. It contains a small amount of swearing.
The show is on Saturday 4 October at 7.30pm in the Theatre at the Solihull Arts Complex and runs for 90 minutes without an interval. Tickets costing £10 (£9 for concessions) are available from Box Office on 0121 704 6962.
