Dance show gets under your Skin
From Press Office on 23 September 2008
Six dancers will be exploring how we are all the same under our skin when a critically acclaimed dance show comes to Solihull in October.
Birmingham-based ACE Dance & Music return to Solihull Arts Complex on Tuesday 14 October at 7.30pm to perform their latest work SKIN, which received critical acclaim at its launch last Autumn. ACE have developed a huge following in the region and this show requires no prior or expert knowledge of modern dance.
Using captivating physical expression SKIN explores the invisible signals we give out and the force and flow of feelings running through our veins. From the outside we look different, but underneath, aren't we all the same?
SKIN is ideal for all ages and features two very different pieces. The first is very physical Japanese in style with martial arts-type moves and the second is South African, wonderfully earthy and symbolic with rhythmic percussive beats. Visit www.acedanceandmusic.com/index.htm for images and video clips of this 70-minute show.
Tickets cost £10 (£9) or £6 school/college groups from Box Office on 0121 704 6962. ACE will also be holding dance workshops in several Solihull schools before the show.
