Scandal and Love at the Library
People are invited to join the Readers Circle at Balsall Common library on Friday 3rd October to discuss Notes on a Scandal by Zoe Heller.
The group will take an in depth look at Heller’s novel as she writes about interesting and complex moral panics and the people who get caught up in them.
The Readers Circle meets in the library once a month and everyone is welcome. In November, the group takes a look PS I Love You by Caroline Ahern.
Elgar at the Library
On Wednesday 8th October, Balsall Common library is hosting a fascinating musical presentation by Tony Cross and George Wallis.
The presentation looks at Sir Edward Elgar’s compositions that were dedicated to relations and colleagues.
This event is free but admission is by ticket only, to book a place contact Balsall Common library.
Family Trees at the Library
People can get help and advice on how to research their family tree at Balsall Common library, from people who have done it themselves!
The History Support Group runs on Thursday 16th October between 1.30pm –3pm.
The group meets regularly to share experiences and support each other in their personal family history research. They have exclusive use of Library computers to do research from 3pm-4pm and new members are always welcome.
