Star Gazing in the Park
From Press Office on 09 March 2010
Solihull Council and Knowle Astronomical Society are inviting people to come star gazing in Dorridge Park next Thursday, 18 March from 7.30pm.
This free event is perfect for anyone who loves astrology or for those who just want to learn more about the night sky. On the night it is expected that the budding astrologers will be able to see the thin crescent moon, Saturn and potentially a comet.
People can bring down their own telescope or have a go on one that will be available for members of the public to use. Experts from Knowle Astronomical Society will be on hand to help identify star clusters and planets. They will also be able to discuss a wide range of astronomy related issues and answer any questions you have.
Any changes to the event due to bad weather will be announced on Solihull Council’s website and 24 March will be used as the alternative date.
