Pay and Display comes to Mell Square car park 11 April

From Press Office on 02 April 2012

People who park in Mell Square car park are being reminded that it becomes Pay and Display from 11 April.

Drivers can pay at the machines using coins, by using a pre-paid top-up card, or by using the new pay by phone system, which can also be used remotely to top up stays.

Credit card payments will not be available until later in the year.

People should estimate the amount of time they need and pay the appropriate amount after parking in a designated bay and before they leave the car park on foot.

If people do not have change, a 20 minute grace period will be given in order for them to obtain it.

Drivers who do not display a Pay and Display ticket or park outside designated bays could be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice.

Blude badge holders are able to park in any bay for an unlimited time, as long as the blue badge is clearly displayed.

To enquire about a pre-paid top-up card, call 0121 704 6111.
