Give your leftovers the Jubilee treatment
From Press office on 14 May 2012
Solihull Council wants residents to give their leftovers a royal makeover and join the Big Jubilee Lunch on Sunday 3 June.
As part of the second instalment of this year’s Music in the Park series of concerts, residents can bring a picnic to Shirley Park to take part in the national Big Jubilee Lunch.
Making a picnic from leftovers can be an easy way to be part of the Big Lunch, and can help residents save money by showing them how to love their food and hate wasting it.
Plenty of tips for giving leftovers a royal makeover can be found at www.lovefoodhatewaste.com.
The free Music in the Park concert takes place in Shirley Park from 2-4.15pm on Sunday 3 June and will be a special celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The Shirley Park concert is the second in a series of four monthly summer concerts in Solihull’s parks.
