Solihull Council has served notice to terminate its Public Private Partnership (PPP) contract with Rivendell Leisure Ltd to deliver its leisure services.
Parkwood Community Leisure, who had been subcontracted by Rivendell to run Tudor Grange and North Solihull leisure centres, will continue to deliver the leisure services under a new interim contract with the Council.
The Council has started a retender process in order to secure a better financial arrangement for its tax payers and it has already had successful initial engagement with the leisure market. The aim is to select an operator by the end of March 2018 to take on a new management contract for the centres from June 2018.
In the meantime current services will continue as normal and leisure centre users will not be affected.
