Christmas recycling tips and info

Due to changes at our waste treatment facility we can no longer collect real Christmas trees from the kerbside, but you can take them to the Bickenhill Household Waste Recycling Centre for recycling.

Before you recycle, check if it has roots – you could replant it in a pot in your garden and use it again next year.

If not, check to see if the retailer you bought it from offers a take-back scheme.  And if you live in the B90 or B91 postcode areas, St Mary’s Hospice will collect and recycle your Christmas Tree for a charitable donation.

And if you have a green wheelie bin you could cut up your tree and put it in your wheelie bin for collection between March and November.
