Solihull Council is hosting an information event about carers at the Renewal Centre on Tuesday 13 March.
All About Carers aims to raise awareness of the opportunities and support that are available in Solihull to adult carers.
The event will start at 9.30am, with a morning session running until midday and an afternoon session from 1pm until 3.30pm.
There will be a ‘market street’ for service providers to show what they offer and a number of table-top discussions with groups like Carers Trust Solihull and Solihull Council’s Adult Care and Support team, among others. Carers will also be giving their own first-hand accounts of their experience using the support on offer.
Councillor Karen Grinsell, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Health, said: “We are keen to make everyone aware of all the avenues of support that we have available for carers in the borough.
“It’s important to showcase the guidance on offer to those who do such vital work, and it’s always enlightening to hear their stories. I encourage anyone who wants to learn more about adult carers in Solihull to come along and find out more about what we, and other groups, can do to assist carers and their families.”
