There are many egg-cellent activities for children to enjoy over the Easter holidays in Solihull parks.
The programme starts with the Easter Egg Hunt on Friday 30 March, Elmdon Park, B92 9EY, 11am to 3pm. The Easter bunny has hidden clues around the park - crack the password for the chance to win a chocolate egg! Punch and Judy shows, face painting and other entertainment are also available. Entrance costs £2.00 per person – other attractions, like face painting, can be paid for at reception. The meeting point is the Tanhouse Farm Road car park entrance.
Kids would be quackers to miss this next one! The Dizzy Duck Race is on Wednesday 4 April between 11am – 12.30pm, with registration from 10.30am. Pick a duck and wish it luck as it races along the river at Babbs Mill Local Nature Reserve, B37 6LN. The first three to cross the finish line will win a prize! Each duck costs £1.00 - to register, meet by the play area.
To round things off, the Scarecrow Making Day will be held on Thursday 12 April in Knowle Park, B93 9HY between 10.30am and 12.00pm. People can let their imagination run wild by designing a scarecrow – there are prizes for the top three designs. Pre-booking is essential as there are limited spaces. To book a place, and get a copy of the equipment list, contact 0121 704 8000. The meeting point is at the car park off Longdon Road.
