Following National Apprenticeship Week which took place from 5-9 March, Solihull Council is continuing to show support for apprentices with the launch of a brand new website all about apprenticeships.
The site has been developed to raise awareness of what apprenticeships the Council has on offer and encourage people to consider an apprenticeship as the next step in their career.
It includes a number of areas such as: the qualifications people can gain, how to apply, and case studies from apprentices and their managers. In addition, people can also find out more about what it’s like working for the Council and useful information about the borough.
Councillor Ken Meeson, Cabinet Member for Children, Education and skills said: “This website gives you a first-hand look into what Solihull Council can offer as one of the borough’s most diverse employers.
“Being an apprentice not only gives you the chance to earn a qualification while on the job, but offers you the opportunity to learn important life skills.
“I’d really encourage people to take a look at the site and find out more about apprenticeships with the Council.”
