The Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Stuart Davis, is encouraging people to take advantage of the Council’s Switch ‘n’ Save scheme and find a better deal on their energy bills.
Using collective bargaining power, residents can secure better prices from energy providers, and in the last round households that took part in the scheme saved an average of £285.
The scheme takes the hassle out of searching for a cheaper gas and electricity provider.
Registering your interest is simple; just have a recent energy bill to hand and get online anytime from now until Tuesday 10 October to find a cheaper deal. There is no obligation to switch and your details are not shared with any utility company.
The Mayor said: “This is a fantastic scheme and I’m looking forward to seeing how much money I could save after the registration closes next week.
“Last year some residents saved hundreds of pounds on their energy bills, so I’d encourage people to sign up as the more that do, the more that can benefit.
“The registration process is simple, so take the opportunity to make your money go further.”
