Solihull residents who signed up for the latest round of the Switch ‘n’ Save Scheme could save an average of £195 following an auction between energy companies.
More than 900 people registered for the scheme, which helps residents to find cheaper gas and electricity, with 75% given the opportunity to save money on their energy bill. Residents who registered are now receiving personal offer letters or emails detailing how much they could be saving against current deals.
Councillor Tony Dicicco, Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities and Partnerships, said: “I am pleased to hear about the residents who have been successful with the latest round of the Switch ‘n’ Save Scheme, this year has seen another great set of results.
“If you missed it this time around, look out for future chances as it really is a no lose situation.”
The energy provider who won the Duel Fuel auction category and the Electricity Only contract was SSE. Their tariffs are exclusive to scheme members and are not available direct from the suppliers or via price comparison services.
Residents with prepayment meters will be offered either Dual Fuel or Electricity Only contracts from Boost Energy.
