Please report scrap metal theft

Publish date:Tuesday, March 19, 2019

Over the last six weeks thieves have stolen a number of items belonging to Solihull Council from Solihull’s parks.

11 litter bins have been taken from Tudor Grange Park, four dog bins have been taken from Hillfield Park, and over the last few months play equipment – including swings – have been taken from Babb’s Mill Park.

The cost of replacing all of this will be over £15,000.  The Council suspects that these items have been targeted by scrap metal thieves and is asking residents to be vigilant and help the police to catch the criminals.

Please report thefts to the Police on 101, leave information anonymously via the crime stoppers web page or call 0800 555111.
