Solihull Parks Directory - Elmdon Nature Park
Elmdon Nature Park
Location: Elmdon, off Tanhouse Farm Road or Damson Park Way
The grounds and the derelict Elmdon Hall were bought by the Council in 1944 to create this country style Park. The Park is unique amongst the Borough's Parks, in that it has a hilly landscape giving fine views across the Midlands. There is a perimeter walk, which embraces the lakes and stream that meander through the Park. Alternatively, The Friends of Elmdon have created a popular heritage trail which gives details of the remains of the walled garden now a Local Nature Reserve which is managed by the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust as well as other interesting facts on St Nicolas' Church, Elmdon Hall and associated buildings.

If you are less interested in history, Elmdon Park is ideal for a family day out, with football pitches, tennis courts and a play area set amongst green open space and large mature trees.
Green Flag Award
Elmdon Park received a Green Flag Award in 2002 and 2003, a national scheme, which recognises standards of Park management and the importance of such an area for the surrounding community.
Regular events take place in the park and can be found in the events guide. To obtain a copy please call us on 0121 704 8000, or use the feedback form on this site.
