Online Application Attachment Requirements

For applications made on line by the facility provided at the Planning Portal the following conditions apply:

Solihull MBC are able to accept plans sent as an electronic attachment to a planning application, but only if the following criteria are met or included on the plan: -

1. The attachments are Adobe Acrobat .pdf files.
2. The Plans are drawn to the scale shown in the plans title box, i.e. 1:100.
3. The paper size that the plans were drawn are to be shown, preferably next to the scale in the title box, i.e. Scale 1:200 at A1.
4. A north arrow is included to show direction.
5. Measurements are to be shown on the plan in metric.
6. A Scale bar to be drawn on the plan.
7. Surrounding property to the front, side and rear must be shown clearly on site plans.
8. A minimum of two road names must be shown on site plans.

This enables our planning officers to be able to print the plan at the correct scale and paper size. If the above requirements are not met, the application is likely to be made invalid.
