Planning Applications - Forms
The Standard Planning Application Form (1APP)
Online applications
You can find the 1APP Forms online by visiting the Planning Portal where you can complete and submit them as part of an online planning application. Online applications can save applicants both time and money by reducing both printing costs and postage time. If you decide to submit your application online, please visit our Planning Portal page first.
For applications submitted via the Planning Portal you must submit one electronic version of the application (1x set). If there are any doubts regarding the scale of plans, the council will request a hardcopy to be submitted for quality checking. It is strongly recommended that a scale bar and metric measurements are included with online applications.
Note: Advice on applications for Listed Buildings. If your property is a Listed Building and the proposed work is Permitted Development , you will still need to make a Listed Building Consent application on its own. Please do not make the application as part of a householder application, if you do the Planning Portal will require the full householder fee to be paid in order to submit the application. On Step 3 on the Planning Portals form's selection page, please choose 'I need another type of planning permission' and not 'Works to residence'. Listed Building consent will be an available choice on the next page.
Applications submitted by post
You can also download a print only version of the form if you wish to submit the application in hard copy.
You will need to submit one original copy of the application, including application form and documents. The council may need to consult other organisations on certain types of application. This may require the council to request up to three further sets of the entire application for the purpose of processing the application in an efficient manner.
For all applications please read Making an Application and Planning Fees in conjunction with the form(s). All applications are subject to both the: -
