Local plan - waste

We, in our role as Waste Planning Authority, are required under the Planning Acts to prepare waste management policies in the Solihull Unitary Development Plan Review and the Local Development Framework.

The Plan Framework covers the land-use aspects of waste management and deals with all waste managed; including that generated by businesses and the construction industry in addition to what is produced by households.

The Policies will seek to balance the need to establish waste management facilities with the need to protect the environment.
