Planning Applications

You can search for planning applications by several methods depending on the information you have available. Once you have found the application you can view associated documents.  During the consultation period, you can also comment online and register an email address for notification of its decision.

We will try to publish documents and plans online within five working days of the date the application is considered valid.

Search Methods

Search by planning application number

The easiest and most direct way to find an application.

Weekly list

The traditional planning list, all applications received within the last ten weeks.

Recent Applications near to your address

Choose your address and see recent applications during the last 8 weeks and within a 1 Kilometre circle.

Decision Register

Similar to the weekly list but showing decisions made by the council.  You can view a copy of the decision notice and other related documents as well as application details.

Application history at an address

You can find all applications matched to postal addresses.  Please note that this does not show unmatched planning applications i.e. Land at Acacia Avenue.  Please use the "Search for an application" function below.

Planning Appeals Register

Shows all lodged planning appeals for the last ten years.

Please note:

Once the consultation period has closed, you will not be able to comment using the online system.  You may still be able to send in your comments to planning@solihull.gov.uk if a decision has not been made.  Please include the application number and your name and address if you wish to do this.

Other online services

You can also register to receive emails of new planning applications.  You will need to register to use this service.

For applications yet to be decided, you can register to receive an email of that particular applications decision.  You will need to register to use this service.
