Homelessness Strategy 2006-2008

Local authorities are required by law to produce a homelessness strategy.

Solihull's Homelessness Strategy covers the three-year period from 2006 to the end of 2008. The Strategy aims to prevent homelessness in Solihull and provide a quality response to those affected by homelessness.

Solihull MBC and partners are in the process of reviewing the current homelessness strategy with a view to having an updated strategy and action plan covering 2009 - 2011 in place by early 2009. The attached discussion document gives a brief overview of the work being carried out and the information found out so far. An online response feedback form is available for you to let us know your comments and suggestions, as well as any areas that you think should be prioritised in the new strategy.

The Council, the Local Strategic Partnership and the Multi-Agency Homelessness Forum will closely monitor the Strategy. Monitoring reports will be available here.

Information on homelessness trends is available.
