Trading Standards and Licensing - Enforcement Policy

Introduction

The Trading Standards and Licensing Division aims to provide, maintain and develop a fair and safe trading environment by safeguarding the buyers and sellers of goods and services and by licensing of people, places and vehicles.

This attached document sets out how we will work with businesses to help them comply with the relevant laws and how we will enforce the laws when formal action is necessary.

Consumer Advice and Information in Solihull, is now provided by our partners at Consumer Direct. Consumer Direct is a telephone and online consumer advice service, which is supported by local authorities (Trading Standards) and Central Government. If you do need support or assistance from Trading Standards, you will of course be referred to them by Consumer Direct.
