How we operate in major incidents
The Council's Press Office will be available to work with you should any major incident occur. We value your help in such times in enabling us to communicate important messages to the public.
We will be working closely with other agencies, such as the police, fire etc to deal with the situation.
We will provide you with:
- a 24 hour press service via the usual press office numbers
- should we be based away from the Council House, mobile numbers will be available
- regular updates on the incident (including internet updates)
- regular briefings
- access to senior officers/councillors for interviews a base at the Civic Suite (should the incident involve the Council)
- staff at the scene of the incident to help you with any queries/requests
After the incident, we will request feedback from you, in order to improve our services to you.
