How we will use your information
You will be contacted by Council staff to arrange a time for the collection of your household chemical waste. Your information will be logged on computer databases for recording purposes and then passed to the Council's contractor to collect the household chemical waste. It may also be used to monitor the performance of our contractor and the use of the hazardous household chemicals collection service by customers.
Your personal details e.g. name, address, telephone number, email, will be checked against any personal details that we may already hold on CRM. We will update CRM if there are any changes.
Who else it will be shared with
Personal data held on CRM is shared with other service areas who have access to CRM. We will share your comments and feedback in order to improve services.
How long it will be kept
We will keep your personal details and feedback on CRM as long as you are resident in the borough and/or your record is active on CRM. Your information remains on CRM as an inactive record when you let us know that you have moved out of the Borough.
How we will ensure it is accurate
To help keep our records up to date when customers contact us the information that we hold on CRM will be confirmed and changed as required.
How we will safeguard it
Your information will be kept in a secure office environment. Only authorised members of staff who are licensed users of CRM will be able to access CRM and it is password protected.
Additionally our staff are trained about data protection and understand its importance.
