Your information will be held by Transport, Highways and the Environment who can be contacted on telephone 0121 704 8004, or by post at PO Box 19, Council House, Solihull, B91 9QT.

Your personal details will be used to deal with your request and may be used to contact you to request further information, if necessary.
Who else it will be shared with
The information you submit may be shared with the Police to seek their view on a change to the speed limit.
Also if your personal details are different to information that we already hold about you, the new personal details you have supplied may be shared with other Council services to ensure our records are kept up to date.
How long it will be kept
The information you submit will not be kept for any longer than is needed. The length of time will depend upon whether the Council has a business need for keeping the information and/or if the law requires that we keep the information for a particular length of time.
Your request may be kept for up to 7 years after the last action related to your request for a change to the speed limit.
How we will ensure it is accurate
If you are contacted by Council staff they may ask you to confirm your personal details, if necessary.
How we will safeguard it
The information will be kept in a secure office environment. It will be held on computer databases that can only be accessed by authorised members of Council staff.
All staff undergo training and understand the importance of data protection. Access to Council's systems is via password control so that only people who need to access your information in order to provide Council services are able to.
